1. Introduction
Welcome to Giving A Smile Foundation (“Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, high-quality dental care to underserved children and young adults.
These Terms & Conditions describe the use of our website, www.givingasmile.org, and our communications with donors, sponsors, volunteers, event participants, and supporters.
By using our website, you agree to comply with its applicable terms. Consent to receive promotional text messages or automated telephone calls must be obtained separately where required by law. Simply visiting our website, making a donation, or providing contact information does not automatically constitute such consent.
2. Donor and Supporter Communications
Giving A Smile Foundation communicates with individuals who support or participate in our charitable activities.
Depending on your relationship with the Foundation, your communication preferences, and applicable consent requirements, we may contact you by email, telephone, or text message regarding:

3. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
Program Name: Giving A Smile Foundation SMS Updates
Individuals who voluntarily enroll in our text messaging program may receive recurring SMS or MMS messages from Giving A Smile Foundation.
Messages may include Foundation news, fundraising appeals, donation opportunities, event invitations, registration reminders, volunteer opportunities, and updates about our charitable programs.
By affirmatively opting in to our SMS program, you authorize Giving A Smile Foundation, or service providers acting on our behalf, to send recurring text messages to the mobile number you provide, including through automated messaging technology where applicable.
Message Frequency: Message frequency may vary according to Foundation activities, with up to [insert maximum number] messages per month.
Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan.
Consent: Participation in our SMS program is voluntary. Consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of making a donation, purchasing event tickets, receiving charitable services, or participating in Foundation activities.
Opting Out: You may unsubscribe from the SMS program at any time by replying STOP to a text message from Giving A Smile Foundation. You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out.

We will also honor reasonable requests to revoke consent communicated directly to the Foundation.

Your SMS consent applies only to communications from Giving A Smile Foundation and will not be transferred to another organization for its independent marketing activities.
4. Telephone Communications
Giving A Smile Foundation may contact donors, sponsors, volunteers, event participants, and supporters by telephone when permitted by applicable law.
Telephone communications may concern donation acknowledgments, fundraising opportunities, sponsorship discussions, event invitations, volunteer coordination, and other Foundation-related activities.
Where legally required, we will obtain appropriate consent before placing calls using automated dialing technology, artificial or prerecorded voice messages, or similar systems.
Individuals may request not to receive fundraising or promotional telephone calls at any time by notifying a Foundation representative, calling 310-205-5311, or emailing info@givingasmile.org.
We will maintain and honor applicable do-not-call requests.
5. Email Communications
Giving A Smile Foundation may use email to communicate with donors, supporters, volunteers, and event participants regarding our mission and charitable activities.
Email communications may include newsletters, fundraising appeals, event announcements, donation acknowledgments, sponsorship opportunities, and organizational updates.
We will obtain email marketing consent where required by applicable law.
Recipients may unsubscribe from promotional and fundraising emails by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails or by contacting us directly.
Unsubscribing from promotional email communications does not necessarily prevent necessary administrative communications, such as donation receipts, transaction confirmations, or responses to inquiries.
6. Donations and Event Registrations
Donations, sponsorships, event ticket purchases, and registrations may be processed through authorized third-party service providers.
These providers may maintain their own privacy policies and terms governing payment processing or registration services.
Making a charitable contribution, registering for an event, or purchasing a ticket does not automatically enroll an individual in our promotional SMS program.
Where requested, individuals may separately choose to subscribe to Foundation communications.
7. Privacy and Protection of Personal Information
Giving A Smile Foundation respects the privacy of its donors and supporters.
Information collected through our website, donation platforms, event registrations, and communication programs will be used in accordance with our Donor Privacy Statement.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their independent marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share information with authorized service providers solely as necessary to provide services on our behalf, including sending approved communications, processing donations, and administering events. Such providers may not use SMS consent information for their own marketing purposes.
